Anna Lesjak

Born in Salzburg, Austria.

From 2008 to 2016, she studied at the Johann-Joseph-Fux Conservatory in Graz as part of the program for gifted students.

From 2016 to 2022, she pursued concert guitar studies with Prof. Álvaro Pierri, and since 2020, she has also been studying instrumental and vocal pedagogy.

In 2022, she passed the second diploma examination in concert guitar with distinction.

She has participated in masterclasses with Judicael Perroy, Goran Krivokapic, Xuefei Yang, Paolo Pegoraro, Hubert Käppel, among others.

Awards:

  • 1st Prize at the International Chamber Music Competition “Ferdinand Rebay,” Austria 2023
  • 3rd Prize at the International Solo Guitar Competition “Ferdinand Rebay,” Austria 2023
  • 2nd Prize at the Lions Club International Music Prize, Austria 2019
  • 1st Prizes at all state and national “Prima la Musica” competitions in Austria from 2012 to 2016

She has received merit scholarships from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.

Active in chamber music as part of the Waldner/Lesjak Duo (flute/guitar), with performances at venues such as the Wiener Konzerthaus, Theater an der Wien, and ORF, among others.

She is the deputy director and guitar teacher at the International Music Academy in Vienna, and also teaches guitar at the Center for Music Education 14 in Vienna.

Member of Gitarrissima as a substitute in 2018, and again since 2024.
